If Bush Loses the election...

So the election is just a month away, momentum has switched to kerry, even many of the hardcore republican supporters are admitting that the race will be down the line.

We are not debating an outcome here, just making a hypothetical situation where bush looses.

What will he do?!...

Mosy past presidents go on lecture tours, gone back to their old jobs or became foreign policy experts.

a) Bush can't lecture and isn't smart enough to actually give intellectual insight.
b) He failed miserably at his old job, is there an oil and gas company who would actually give him some authority due to his horrid track record?
c) He knows nothing about foreign policy, also due to his worldwide hatred, i can't even see him doing anything internationally.

Rebuttles?...ideas where this guy will be 5-10 years down the road...Just a thought.

Drink . . .

OK, that was a bit harsh. Anyway, I'm sure some NeoCon cabals will pay to have Bush come speak. True conservatives will like shun him since his "agenda" really did not advance fiscal conservatism. Social conservatives may claim some "victories" but there's unlikely to be a substantitive Bush legacy in this regard.

That's a good thought and I truly have no idea. Not like he has to work though. Any idea what Bush Sr. did after he got the boot in 96?

The question is moot. Ask in another four years after he steps down from being President.

I thought i mentioned in the OP that this is hypothetical, and that it wasnt a debate on results.

Disregarding the thought doesnt help your case for re-electing someone without sellable qualities.

That's all we are looking for, qualities Bush could sell after this term expires.

If you're just going to crap the thread stay the hell out. :/

So there's no possibility of him being re-elected?

Wow, guys, please re-read the post...if you really care, PRETEND it is 4 years from now...i dunno...we are not debating who will win, we are looking for qualities Bush could sell and potential job opportunities.

Stunt:

Neocons are the prime viewers of Short Attention Span Theater. That's why they watch The Fox Cartoon Network.

Staying on point is so very hard....

He will golf while claiming to hunt for the real WMDs. OJ is his role model.

Seriously, it is an interesing question. I imagine he will retire to Crawford and accept titular positions on a few boards and organizations. Probably mostly in defense and energy.

I think all Bush will look for to do is "hard work". Bush only wants "hard work". 🙂

I think he'll take an early retirement. He's a lazy man.

It's a good point though that he probably couldn't do anything constructive even if he tried. He's stupid AND ignorant. All his businesses have been failures. He can't exactly go around pushing peace like Carter. LOL.

Lecture circuit and memoirs - just like Clinton did.

Very few ex-presidents have to get a job.

Most either have wealth, popularity or die-hard supports. The last two will always keep them occupied.

You may have to go back into the 1800s to find a president that was impoverished after he left office.

He will start a new sports team to fill the void left by the Hockey lock-out.

The game will involve running with scissors, and distracting the
spectators into not paying attention to the rules of the sport.

All scoring will be done behind the referees back, and broadcast by conservative
talk radio personalaties, while the general public looks the other way.

Why do you care? Has he asked to crash on your couch? This isn't a particularly clever Bush-bashing thread, and it deserves no serious responses.

Edit: Oh, and Stunt, shouldn't your title be "If Bush Loses (not Looses) the election . . ."? I went to public school so I'm no grammar and spelling ace, but it seems to me that if you're going to call someone stupid, you ought to at least offer some evidence you're a little smarter. Otherwise, it's "Pot, meet kettle!"

He;ll get named to a few corporate boards, do some limited speaking to very favorable organizations, rake in the $.

His retirement from the pres gig is ~$150K/year plus his retirement from the stint as Governor...

(sorry, didn't look @ thread title)

He's nearly 60, don't blame him a bit if he wants to retire.

You all have to admit, even if you think he was the worst POS pres we've ever had that being president is very stressful & prematurely ages them.

a) Bush can't lecture and isn't smart enough to actually give intellectual insight.
You Bush-Haters just can't get over it can you?
This is the most hateful, childish thread i've seen today, but the day is young...

We'll see about that. 😀

It's a valid thought for conjecture. Exactly what is it we "can't get over"? Or is that just more of your rabid Kerry hating trash talk?

An ex-president will always be in high demand. He will just do whatever he wants, as would I if I were him. 🙂

If he keeps up his swimming he can turn into a SENIOR TRIATHLETE. 🙂

Worse things could happen to him.

But, please don't anyone let him own another ball team. Sheezh...Sammy Sosa comes to mind.

Anyway, it's way to early to predict his demise. He's a fighter and he's got the big RED fighting machine cranked up into full smear campaign mode, so I expect him to win.
