If Beethoven was alive today he would be a total metalhead

You can probably find one.

Besides, we knew this from watching Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.

Na he'd probably be Emo cus they would all make him feel bad for being deaf. He would then proceed to cut himself, wear make-up and girl pants.

but I as I'm listening to it I keep imagining what a heavy-metal cover of it would sound like and I think it would be just awesome.

Time to call in DRAGONFORCE !!!!!

Sorry, Beethoven uses notes outside of the only 3-4 frets Hermann Li knows how to use so that's out. Just because he's fast doesn't mean he's good.

Nah, Beethoven would be too busy making music to dabble in the nonsense of metal.

This. The scene of him in the mall at the music store was great.

don't know about all that, but he'd definitely be living in his dad's basement, away from human contact.

He'd prolly own that WoW thing; day-in, day-out....

I'd agree, but musical geniuses tend to dig a lot of things that the ave person simply wouldn't get. I'm with you, I think metal is utter garbage, but I bet Beethoven would love the hell out of it. Very heavy, pounding sounds, probably portrays his mental state better than any other modern style. I can see what is good, and what people like about metal....but I still refuse to spend any amount of time listening to it.

By the way...for those who haven't seen "Immortal Beloved," check it out. I've always been a fan of this flick, and the BD version (HD master audio=tits) is fanfuckingtastic. There's very little real history in it, but it's a great flick--an extended music video if you will, with Beethoven.

Gary Oldman > most.
