AOLHell and programs like that. You used to be able to kick people offline, spam their mailbox, PM hell, and all kinds of other mean and fun things. This was back in like 1994-1995?

Oh man that was fun in the chat rooms. Yeah, that must've been around 94 or so. it also had all kinds of ASCII insults that would flood the whole chat room, like an ASCII middle finger or something.

Chat rooms on AOL back then were awesome. It was complete chaos. The 1 IM bomb was something serious. It was hilarious when someone cracked an "OH account", and went scrolling and terminating accounts. I must have been 11-13.

i wrote a c-com prog, that time was l33t.

of course, i do remember fate, fire toolz, magenta, MiB, FBI (i was friends with nautica but we lost in touch) and hiwind's programs, i was also friends with him.

damn, those days....

i need to go back to windows 98 and code in vb3 and vb4.

edit: i loved scrolling, it was much fun until aol prevented us from doing so. servers ruled those days.

chatrooms: vb, vb32, progs, density, reality and servers.
