Me and my dad are now installing xp on my new comp,

ASrock 939 duel SATA2

amd 3700+ san diego

2x512mb corsair value ram

radeon 9800

some generic case and power supply.......

YAY my first comp is almost done, but i did have help from my dad.... mainly because i'm 13.....

Ask your dad to pat you on the head and buy you a video game for your new rig.
You should have got a good PS though.

lol, i built a new one FOR my new game, BF2 can't run on my old comp. and i'm planning on getting 1 soon, i can't really get hundreds of dollars instantly. anyway i'm getting a sound card for the 5.1 surround z-300e speakers i got first.

Please don't use a generic PSU... It'll crap out and possibly take your mobo with you. Get the 450W Fortron @ Newegg with dual +12V rails and 18A on each rail. It's only $50, and it's the best PSU for the money. Or, you can get the 400W one for $40.

i built my first when i was 10 i guess. my dad had to helpme, mostly because he was scared i was going to break something (he paid for most of it) and because i probably would have electrocuted myself...

Maaan common putting the rig together is sooo ez, theres online guides that are very clear about it...also if you look at everything, once the mobo is in the case, you can easily figure out where everything goes, theres basically one slot for everything, how can you go wrong.

^^^He's right you know^^^

On my first build, I only found the cpu, heatsink and getting the mobo in the case properly the hard part, everything else is no-brainer, just plug everything where it looks like it fits 😛
