... she's entrenched in her conspiracy theories yet again:

Let me repeat: The McKinney Campaign says they have documented complaints of voters here in Georgia whose votes FLIPPED BEFORE THEIR VERY EYES on Diebold machines.

link

At what point will her remaining supporters realize that she's a farce? Who in the House of Representatives wants to side with her?

EVERYONE has the absolute right to say ANYTHING about the Diebold voting machines.
Unless and until they are made safe to the satisfaction of anyone who is not a neo-con.

btw a simple paper trail would have fixed this problem. So until trusted voting is restored I will entertain ANY complaints.

I don't think anybody has really been wondering about that nutcase since her encounter with that security guard.

Was she the one who was the only one to vote against the Iraqi occupation?

Wouldn't that be 499 nutcases to 1?

I never said that she doesn't have the right to say ANYTHING about the Diebold voting machines; however, in this case I'd say if anybody moved votes away from Cynthia, it'd most likely be her own party.

You can only cry wolf so many times before people with common sense stop listening to you.

Hehe, you are tooooooo much! How can you claim she is crying wolf when you also claim that vots were switched just like she is. You need to practice up on thinking.

Diebold voting machines have been removed from service and barred in many districts and states because they have been proven to be flawed and subject to hacking and manipulatiuon in numerous independent tests. Under the circumstances, to preserve the integrity of this election, the safest and most intelligent course of action is to assume McKinney's charges are valid until proven otherwise.

And you would be what . . our resident expert on 'Nutcases' ?

Question - was there not a precint in Ohio that reported twice as many votes for Bush as people who had voted there?
Or was it that in a precint that had 360 voters it recorded approximately 350+/- 10 votes for 'Issues and Propositions' but tallied 4,000 votes for Bush?

So what ever happened to the democrat push for election reform? Oh, I guess that wasn't as important as a filibuster to pander to the left wing.

I believe the key word there is "if". I never claimed that this actually happened, in fact, I doubt it did. Too many falsehoods and half-truths have come out of Cynthia's mouth.

Huh? Last I looked it was a Republican Congress and in order to investigate or to legislate more security for electronic voting machines takes an act of Congress.
A filibuster can only PREVENT an act of Congress.

And I'd take a Cynthia McKinney over a Tom Delay any day.

Last time I checked, the Democrats weren't in charge of the legislative agenda, and the Republicans had too many other important issues to deal with, like Terri Schiavo, flag burning, the text of the Pledge of Allegience, tax cuts for the wealthies 1% of the nation, and defeating all Democratic attempts to get meaningful election reform legislation, along with avoiding dealing with crooks like Tom DeLay and Duke Cunningham.

Exactly how do you propose the Democratic minority should have accomplished this?

Um, amendments?

Face it, if election reform was important to the democrats, then they'd find a way to get it to the table. Please show me an amendment that was "defeated" regarding election reform. You've been abandoned by your own party's panderings. Apparently minimum wage legislation is more important to the dems than election reform.

If you would put up real money I could probably find many, many amendments the Democrats proposed on election reform that the Republicans shot down.

What are you talking about? Just post a link since there are "many, many amendments" But let's focus on the last 6 years mmkay? (and really, the Diebold thing was since 2004).

Man, that sure shores up your views. Diebold's founder has stated publically that he would do whatever he could to sway the election for Bush, and there's been no proof since 2004 that the documented susceptabilities of Diebold's machines to hacking, fraud and abuse have been corrected.

I don't know if McKinney's right in this case, but considering Diebold's very questionable past, her complaint is more than worthy of checking out.

McKinney right now is running scared in the Primary. Her approval rating is below 50% within the Dem party. She needs to get herself portrayed again as the victim.

Diebold's founder was active in the election campaign. Probably a conflict of interest, but it's quite a stretch to implicate him in multiple felonies based on a statement that obviously reflected his support of the candidate.

So bakc to your original statement - show me where "Republicans had too many other important issues to deal with...like defeating all Democratic attempts to get meaningful election reform legislation"? There's gonna be a record of all that, ya know. Maybe I'm wrong, I'll be the first to admit it. But I doubt it because I haven't seen a peep of it in the news, just posturing for a while by the dems, then nothing.

Interestingly...hearings going on right now.

The circle jerk the righties make over some lowly congress woman is laughable.

You guys are like a retarded kid who comes home from school and sees his house is on fire and his little sister screaming out of the top window. Then the sprinkler head on the lawn catches your eye "look at the shiney thing".

Get some priorities, I know you guys have nothing to brag about with respect to having all the power and delivering nothing but failure, but come on this is pathetic.

*Sorry if I insulted any retarded people out there by comparing you to Republicans/Right wing zealots.

I am far from a supporter of McKinney, but considering Diebold's past, I would certainly investigate her claims.

Yet another poignant, well thought-out, on-topic diatribe! Congrats!
