my icon continually stays green. I'm now on me 3rd WU, but i don't want my WU's to be taken off for some reason. Please Help. I know Orangekid was dumping soon, but it doesn't seem to be transmitting.

If you are using SetiDriver, then just place a DOT next to NO Proxy/Socks, hit the SAVE CONFIG button, then click on the STOP TRANSMIT button until it turns into a TRANSMIT button. Then click the TRANSMIT button and you will go straight to Berkelely for you upload/download.

When OrangeKid gets back up to speed, just reverse the above process.

Don't be afraid to ask questions - even us veteran members had to start from the beginning too. 😉

And believe me - I've been educated quite a bit about how to improve SETI performance since I first started - and about 95% of it was because of the dedicated members here on this Forum. 🙂

quick question... assuming my computer will be idle the entire time, will configuring seti to high priority complete a wu any faster than if it was set to low?

From what I have read others talking about it will speed it up a small amount.
If you use your computer for gaming, browsing and other activities (as opposed to having a box there just crunching wu's)
I would leave it at low!

If this is the case set it High

Or, if you're like me and have a dual Athlon MP 1600+ system with 512MB of DDR2100 RAM, you can leave it on high all of the time as well without seeing much of a performance loss at all even when doing other things. Some of us are just lucky I guess... 😉

Yep
I run Outlook all day and seti at high don't play nice with Outlook!
For me anyway!

Yes, seti doesn't play nice with outlook even when seti is set low.
But you can get used to it, I have 😉
