Only thing you can really do (if the kid tests out as yours) is to fight for sole custody. You'll still end up paying child support, but at least you get something out of it.

Re: Abortion - the human body does it all the time. Does it really matter why a fetus fails to grow?

Sorry OP, that not how things work in real life.

In the eyes of the Court, the welfare of the child > everyone.

If the child is yours, then pay up. End of story. If you don't want to pay, wrap it up or don't do the deed.

If you think it is bad, wait until the chick lied to you, screw some losers and got knock up and lied and said it was your child and you paid child support for years and later found out that the child was not your (due to some rare genetic diseases) and then the Court still make you pay child support (true story).

I remember a story years ago about a guy who nailed a girl then discarded the condom in the waste bin. She dug it out and got pregnant with it. The poor bastard ended up having to pay child support.

If you willingly stuck your penis in her, then it's your responsibility. There's not a single birth control method out there that works 100% of the time. You're always take a risk, even a reduced one, of having a kid. So it's very possible she didn't trick shit and still had a kid.

No they won`t make you pay if you agressively go after this right away...if you aren`t the father you don`t pay!!

if you wait even a year or two after the child is born all the while paying child support you are screwed anyways.

That`s why you don`t wait this out...you get a paternity test right away and by all means do not pay any child support. In other words you need a ghood lawyer..you cannot do this yourself!!

i hate when everyone says this. you know the woman will probably use like 10% of it for the care of the child and 90% on herself. if the child needs something, i would like to send payment directly to the store or service provider or even buy it myself instead of giving her payments every month.

This thread keeps delivering. The responses are hilarious.

There's no tricking involved if you made the choice to do it. Even if she's on birth control and you use a condom there's still a tiny chance she might get pregnant, but most people will still do it anyway.

Sometimes it's not the woman who wants money but the government. A true story that happened to a friend years ago. He got a girl pregnant, but she never told him, and they went their separate ways, all the while, she was receiving some form of government aid. Seventeen years later the government came knocking at his door wanting to be reimbursed, in full, surprise, surprise, surprise! Thankfully, he had remained single, and had enough in savings to pay, which if I recall was around 30 thousand, a bargain if you think about it. This was about 25 years ago, and yes, he met his son, and they have been together ever since.
