If a white person went into a Black barber shop

I'm being serious, not racist.

Let's say a white man went into a Barber shop (for black people), would the barbers know what to do?

I wonder if this has ever happened.

EDIT: I know 'barber' describes any person with a haircut license, I am just asking about the shops where the majority of the customers are black and the barbers are black as well.

I'm white and I prefer real barbers over "hair stylists" or whatever those family haircut places call their employees.

I would hope so. Wouldn't be much of a barber if they didn't know how to cut hair.

nto true. huge diffrence between a black persons hair and a white. then again there is a huge diffrence between a mans and womens.

i don't see a women going a barber shop to begine with

There is a very large difference between the usual styles of white people and black people (and men and women for that matter). While they may have the knowledge on how to cut it, I doubt they'd be comfortable unless they had a lot of experience with the style before.

What does being white have to do with a barber shop?

I've been to plenty of barber shops....I know what to do. I sit and wait my turn and then get a haircut. The barber knows what to do. Trim my hair.

What's so hard to understand or crasp about this?

I assume the white guy is going to that barber shop for the first time. And if so, shouldn't the white guy tell the barber how he want his hair cut? And once instructions are given, I also assume the barber would understand and know how to cut it.

Plus it's not like the barber tries to force smalltalk like the chain places. Just shut up and cut my hair.

There are differences in the hair thickness and that sort of thing as well. It's kind of like taking a Honda to a Toyota dealership. Sure, a number of things they can do, but they're not trained nor necessarily equipped to work on it.

I would hope so...it's not like my haircut is the hardest thing in the world.

High & tight, skin on the sides, 2 on top.

Evidently someone's a little metro 😉 and thinks that white people only see "stylists"

Heh, my barber's an old school one. By an odd coincidence I ended up moving in the house that is behind him. Neither of us realized it until a couple weeks after I moved in.

err barber shop is for men no?

I read your title and honestly thought it was a stupid question... but now I see it might just be somewhat odd as I don't know how a barber shop is instantly black. There are plenty of barbers in this area and actually... none of them are black. They're old white men actually 😛.

I used to go to one as a kid... he always gave us lollipops 🙂.

😕 Where did he touch you?

Why does the OP relate barber shops to only black people?
Millions of whites, asians, and members of other races/ethinicities go to barbers for their haircuts.

Quintox...seriously...WTF is wrong with you dude...

anyways...the same barber has been cutting my hair for over 20 years...

It appears that the OP lives a very sheltered life and true is fearful of leaving the nest mommy and daddy have built for him.

Quintox, you really need to get outside and see the world through your own eyes.
