not that i care, but i would say no because the thread probably isn't deleted, but actually moved to an admin/mod read-only forum.

Yes this is what happenes. If you are subscribed to a thread that is deleted, it says that it is in the "Recycle Bin" forum, and that you don't have read permissions. I had a screenshot of this for the 1=0.9999... thread at some point, but I deleted it.
