If a person is in a permanent vegative state...

If a person is in a PVS, they have no connitive function. Their body works, just no awareness, thought, etc. If they are in this position, they obviously are not aware they exist, or know their state.

If someone is able to care for them, is it inhumane to keep the person alive? If so, why?

I'm not sure but I think the answer might be in one of the 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

No matter how much politics and religion is involved with the topic, science & technology have proven that the person is just a vegatable. Very few people have recovered from a PVS within the first few months.

It is financially inhumane to spend such fast resources for the hopes of one and simply abandon the many who can recover.

People are free to spend their money on whatever they want.

I'm not trying to debate what should be done. Personally, I wouldn't want to live. I'm just asking a question as to wether there is anything wrong with keeping the person alive if someone has the means to do so.

I have no problems witih people spending PERSONAL FINANCES on keeping their loved ones alive... but as soon as they start using up the tax account in any way while trying to fulfill their desires, that's where it becomes a problem.

I have no ill will towards anyone, but this case seems to have brought the worst out ofeveryone for all to see.
