I.E. magenta vs purple, aqua vs blue, teal vs green.... etc. Is he considered "girlie man" or "metro"?

Edited for clarification.

Real men can only see the colors of beer, black and white, blood red and boobies.

You can count me out because thanks to my color blindness I can't tell what the hell most colors are correctly anyway. It's really a PITA but what can I do about it but live with it.

sounds like a case of color vs. marketing....

imo, it's all the damn same thing...red is red...dark red/light red, whatever...(i know the shades of color do actually differ), but as for most of the names we find on paint cans, ietc....the naming convention is all marketing....

i saw we drop calling them by their color and start calling them by their pantone code....

Well let's see...magenta is part of the CYM set so its recognizable and teal was in starcraft so I know what that is. Aqua...eh not really sure
Does that make me a metro? :p

If you can identify more than 8-bit colors, you're either a woman or gay.

ROY G BIV, well, almost... wtf is "indigo"?? And, it's purple, not violet.

There are 6 colors, plus black and white.

Now, to decrease my masculinity points, "mauve" rhymes with "grove" It's NOT "mawv"
