Let's say you run into a Genie and the Genie is feeling generous...

Genie: "I will take you back in time, as far back in YOUR lifetime as you like. You will be allowed to inform your former self of 1 thing. BUT, it can't be anything about money."

You: "?"


For me, I'd go back to before my Grandmother died and tell myself to use that camcorder I bought (which I never use(d)) to capture her cooking her spaghetti. The family lost the recipe when she died. That spaghetti was the best goddamn spaghetti EVER!

My great aunt, who has been a very big influence on me, died last June rather suddenly and unexpectedly. Even though she was 85, she was still full of life and radiant. I visited her once every 2 months or so, and I was waiting for the kids to get out of school for the summer to visit more often.

I did take the kids to see her 2 weeks before she died, but I didn't stay very long. I can still see her face as she waved goodbye.

If I could go back in time, I would go back to that day and stay one more half hour. I will always regret being in a hurry that day.
