Iexplore,divide error

Am trying to rebuild and trouble shoot an Athlon classic system, every time I attempt to open IE5 I get the "Iexplore has performed and illegal operation , divide error message

The cpu is a classic Athlon 700 mhz modded to 800 mhz, using a VOS32 cooling set up, heatsink is conducting heat off the cpu
case is open so I don't think heat is an issue

This system had frequent crashes on an Epox mb, I swapped in an Abit KA7 and two new sticks of micron ram, new video card, etc

Is the cpu hosed or what here ?

Thanks
