IEP Meeting

I just got back from my kid's IEP meeting and it was awful. I'd rather sit thru a million of the worst business meetings ever than deal with this stuff.

If anyone's ever been thru this stuff, and survived, please tell me your techniques.

for the lucky ones who don't know, IEP is Individual Education Plan, special ed stuff.

My mother is an OT, so I know how those IEP things go. She really hates to go/give them, but it's just part of her job. Just be open and work with the OTs and PTs, they're just trying to help and suggest what is best for the child.

I believe my parents went to IEP meetings for me, never seemed to complain about it. Then again I had an IEP along with everyong else in my class because it was a "gifted" class.

It's even worse if you are on the teacher side dealing with parents who just don't give a sh*t. 🙁
