My Intel D865PERL mobo has two IEEE 1394a external connectors, and my case (UNEEC made, I believe) (apparently) has a IEEE 1394 front connector. The pin assignments for firewire on the mobo are TPA+, TPA-, Ground, Ground, TPB+, TPB-, 12V DC, 12V DC, Key (no pin), and Ground. An integrator's note says the two +12V DC connectors are fused. The cable leading from the case 1394 connector has is marked VP, VG, TPB-, TPB+, TPA-, and TPA+. Can I connect these this case cable to my mobo and get the front firewire connector working? And if so, how?
