IEC C13 up angle to C14 adapter/cable?

Any idea where to get an adapter or extension cable with an IEC C13 up angle plug on one end and C14 straight on the other?

I.e., this to that:

A few places sell this AudioQuest adapter, but at $17 it's daylight robbery:

Does it have to be up angle? That is super rare for a C13. Coupling that with the other end needing to be C14 instead of 5-15P, and you've got yourself a recipe for an expensive cable. You could get someplace like SPDS to custom fab you a cable or make a frankencable with this plus one of these, but I don't think you'll be saving any money.

Yeah, up angle is only thing that'll fit. C14 since I'm not in the US and it's the most generic thing, plus easy extension.

The only cable match I found is at Quail Electronics, but I can't find anyone selling it at retail.

Indeed rare. I don't quite understand why. Up or down seem like the most useful generic angle.

You'll find tons of up/down angle cables for plugs that are typically used in wall outlets, like NEMA 5-15P (in the US of course)

The typical use case for banks of C13 outlets is in a data center where the outlets are arranged vertically (with respect to the outlet, the whole bank could of course be laying on its side). An up/down angle is obviously of limited utility in such a scenario because you'll be blocking at least one other outlet in the bank. Right/left angles don't have this problem, which is why they are far more common for C13.

But up/down is definitely useful for normal users.
So, thanks for the suggestions. I'll report back if I find anything.

As I stated previously, there are next to no "normal users" who have a bank of C13s.

Finally found one place that, apparently, sells a C13 up angle cable. The other end isn't C14, but that's easy to replace: http://www.ebay.com/itm/360020950610

Glad you found one! 🙂

Of course. But you don't need to have a bank of C13 to need an up (or down) angle.

As I have stated all along, the point is not whether or not a cable might be useful in a certain situation. The point is whether or not that situation is common enough to warrant making a product. As you've discovered, C13 up angle to C14 straight is not a common situation.

I've simply tried to explain the way the market is the way it is. If you'd rather ignore that explanation and remain perplexed, that's fine by me.
