IE8 blacked out

Has anyone else experienced this with IE8?
IE8 blacked out
The menu items at the top get blacked out.
Probably due to having used some "registry cleaner"(?)
Never happened before, when using IE7 or IE6.
Any ideas?
TIA

You can probably start by right clicking on the tool bar and disabling all your added on ones.
If that doesn't work, go to Control Panel-Internet Options-Advanced and click Reset on the lower right.
Re-open Internet Explorer and see if it fixed you problem.

That also looks like something (maybe you) created a color change in the menu system, i.e., black background, and did not also use a white font color. ???

Try just reverting to Windows standard colors. The Reset button fix should do that.

Nope. Never customized any color schemes, other than Windows Classic Mode.
Fixed it by reverting back to IE6, then installed IE7 + updates.
Might try IE8 again in a few months.
Thanks anyway.

When you installed IE8 did it warn you of incompatible add ons?
