It will be a high priority update, yes. Starting around Nov 1, I believe.
I've read that it will be atleast a couple of months before they offer it through Windows Update........

Even though I prefer Firefox, I like IE7. Hopefully this will mean a general security improvement for Windows users

I dunno why but it messed up my connection.. couldn't access anything but my DSL modem which showed everything was OK.
Did a rollback and everything is fine now.
*shrug*

I think I'll stay with Firefox this time round. Here's why:

In IE 7, I like the new-tab button and the simple look, yet the simple look is what kills it for me. I like the bookmarks toolbar in FF. If I enable that in IE7, then it doesn't look simple anymore, it looks bulky and cluttered. In comparison, FF maintains a clean interface. The simple look also does away with the Bookmarks menu option of the standard toolbar (the one with File, Edit...). If I want to access my Bookmarks, I have click this button that takes up a lot of the screen and makes it inconvenient to keep opening and closing when I want to access a bookmark.

I like the new-tab button, but it isn't worth the loss of convenience with the bookmarks. For now I'll keep using Ctrl-T. Extensions is another arguement against IE7. I love VideoDownloader.

Bah, internet options still does not open properly from the tools menu,
It works fine for me.

My only gripe is that I can't seem to move the old menu bar to the top of the screen.

The text looks very smooth though.
