IE7 links question

In Internet Explorer in the past I could have a menu bar containing links to commonly used websites. This is still available for Firefox too. But now with IE7 this doesn't seem possible. Is there a way to access websites in IE7 by just one click from inside the browser?

You mean the Links Toolbar? Right click on the tab bar (but not on a tab), and check the "Links" option. If it's not positioned correctly, you can unlock the toolbar in that same popup menu and drag the bar to where you want it.
