IE7 Drop down Menu (in XP Pro)

where can I find the folder/file with all my recently visited sites in my IE7 drop down menu?

I hate typing everything in on a new system:|

I interpret your question to mean the history files for the browser. If that is so, then Tools, Internet Options, and Browse History, and Settings. You can relocate or place that folder on any drive of your choosing, and also set its size. That really did not change from IE6. IE7 merely used what you had set up already.

I'm not looking for the History files.

I'm looking to find where the files are for whatever appears in my drop down bar/search bar- where you type in the website you're going to, or just click on one you've already visited. I think it only stores like the 25 or so most recently visited sites.

I don't save any History files.... I have it set to one day.

Top-left corner....

You have the left arrow (back), right arrow (forward) and then a little black down arrow (recently visted sites). Click that.

Or, your pretty complete browsing history is available by click the down arrow to the right of where you type in your URL addresses.

Sorry - I don't use the IE7 Search Bar - I use the Google search bar instead, and it keeps its own history files. BTw - those ARE part of your search history.

yea... that's what I want to find. Is it in a folder like Favorites? When I copy everything to my new laptop😉, I'm really too lazy to type in all my "recently" visited sites, so they show on the explorer bar drop down menu.

Usually when I build a new rig I copy my Favorites folder.... makes life easy for those obscure sites you rarely visit. I'm just trying to do the same with the drop down menu. I'm guessing it's associated with the History files as some of you mentioned here cause whenever I clear all my history the drop down menu is blank.

they're in the registry. search for sites you know is in your history in the registry and export the key.

The files are not in the registry - they are all located in your /Temporary Internet Files, and that is what I pointed out in my first response. Those ARE your history files - any site you visit is recorded there including cookies.
