this is why IE sucks, what about the web developers that need to test their pages on old IE6/5 browsers? We have to go to completely different machines with the browsers installed in order to test our code. This is why we should have separate non OS integrated versions of IE available.

There are sites and programs that will test the compatibility of code to multiple browsers.

If your w3c standards are correct and the code compatibility is good... there shouldn't be any problems anyway.

Can it co-exist with IE6 ?

No, and wells fargo doesn't have it in their list of 'approved' browsers, so no online banking for me!
there is no reason for wells fargo to be trying to test the compatibility of its website with beta versions of IE, firefox, or anything.

Of course there is. Eventually the beta will be final, and lots of people will be downloading it and using it to visit Wells Fargo's website. If Wells Fargo made thier site compatible with the beta, they'll probably have a working site the minute IE7 final is released. If they don't work with the beta, it might take weeks after IE7 comes out before Wells Fargo's site works with it. Why the heck do you think they released the bets for developers?

Just downloaded from MSDN. Sucks. Poor man's Firefox clone now.

On the plus side it uninstalls itself nice and fast.

Gone. Having the URL bar above the menu bar is retarded. No uniformity with the rest of the OS.

The IE7 beta is ok. It broke my Trillian though but I found there was a fix for the msn.dll file or whatever(why it breaks it i'm not too sure...still reading up on that). Anyways, I like what they've done with it, more options and what not. But does anyone know of any hot key features or add ons? I am willing to make the move back to IE again(getting tired of little problems with firefox and willing to go back to IE fully) but things such as hot keys, etc. that seem to be missing(or I just haven't used IE long enough to find them) aren't there. Like hotkeys to open a new tab.

Anyone have any information?

Load it up, open a couple of tabs and then check memory usage. 110 megs for me.

So it can't be moved?

Yes. It is installed as a Windows XP update. You can uninstall it like you can any other update. The browser will revert to IE6. Atleast that's what I have read on some sites when I was playing around with it a few days back.

I have been using it and it is slow as hell compared to FF.

Holy crap, slow compared to FF? That's really slow.
I'll stick with Opera.

Opera > IE >> FF in terms of speed (at least that has been my experience). It's really too bad, I really wanted to like FF.
