IE6 won't let me set my own homepage

DrJeff

Senior member
Running XP home and IE6, the program stopped letting me change the homepage by greying out that entire box within Tools -> Internet Options. I cannot even go to Slickdeals and hit the upper left hotlink to make the site my start page and have it work. I have never seen this before. Does anyone recognize this glitch and know a solution? I am the Admin and am logged in as such, BTW. I've searched through for a checkbox that applies, but nothing is working.

Do you happen to have SpyBot installed? If so there is an option that when selected will prevent the IE homepage from being changed. You might want to check into that if you do have SpyBot.
