ps I hope this thread isnt locked before anybody gets time to reply like it was in 'General Hardware' forum.

its under the catagory title "Microsoft VM"

granted thats thier version, and probably only supports the old spec. But everyone knows that and nobody publishes applets that don't work that way.

Thanks for all the replies🙂 Actually i dont have a section called "Microsoft VM" in my 'advanced section' in IE6 on XP Pro??

I'm using a dual boot system with Win 'ME' on one partition and XP Pro on the other,IE 5.5 does have the VM section but IE6 doesnt..it's all very wierd.

Hi . just a follow up .. i have now got Microsoft VM installed and working fine.🙂

I found an old article in a UK magazine called Personal Computer World which wrote :

'However, one fairly important feature is missing - Java.
As a result of an out of court settlement with Sun back in
February, Microsoft has decided to not to offer the Java
Virtual Machine as standard with Internet Explorer 6. If you
want it (and many will), you?ll be able to download it from the
Microsoft website. Sun has an updated version of Java for XP
in the pipeline.'

Again thankyou for your replies.
