IE6 History Problem.

I just installed windows XP pro, and it came with IE6. the problem i have is the history is not functioning correctly. the broswer only shows previous history when i select view by most visited, anything eles in the view option shows nothing. also, once i close the broswer, all the history is gone. i used to be in win2k and ie5.5 allow me to keep history for as long as i want. i wold like the view by date, but nothing is showing up. i went to tools, internet options, and the history number is on 7DAYS. i also have a laptop with XP home, and it has the same problem, so it aint no weird crap. there must be a setting somehwere, but where? this been bugging me for awhile. i like the history feature becuz i visit alot of sites, and not always bookmark them. and sometimes i want to goto back to those sites, by using history links. thanks.

Download TweakUI or another registry twek tool like XTeq.

While I'm not aware of clearing history per brower close/restart, I know they both have options for clearing per reboot. If you lookf for the option, perhaps the option is selected, and you just need to deselect it.

i have teakui installed, and the IE clear is not checked. the weird thing is, i see the dates on history, such as monday, sunday, last week, etc.... but when i click on those dates, nothing is showing up under each day. i like to clear my mistake above about history disappering when i close broswer. its actually still in the most viewed part, but no where eles. i got confused. but even there, there is no history of the previous day.

ahhh crap, my internet temp is not working either. there is no files in my C:\Documents and Settings\XXXXX\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\ and C:\Documents and Settings\Shin\Local Settings\History\ folders. whats going on dangit.
