IE6 [file < new < message] won't do it!

I installed the thunderbird mail client to test it out. But I didnt like it, so I went back to IE express.

Now when i do file < new < message in IE6 it doesnt do anything.

Outlook is my default mail client now and so is ie6. i went into ie6 settings and set outlook express for mail, yet it wont compose a message from the file < new < message tab. Yet if i click on a email address on a webpage the composer window will open up.

I need help!
