We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. The problem has been identified, and we are actively working on a resolution. There is no impact to user data or functionality, this is strictly a front-end display issue. in IE 6 Microsoft tried to make it a little more user friendly. The easiest way to fix the problem is to go into my computer > tools > folder options > file types (tab) > scroll down to the extension txt and see if there is a setting in there to tweak.
argh, i spent an unreasonable amount of time debugging perl code... turned out it was another stupid IE thing. it actually cared more about the NAME of the script than the content-type header. :|
