I have suffered with this problem for a long time, anyways...every time I finish DLing something, IE would 'freeze' for about 5 secs, this is really bothersome. Ne one have any idea how to solve this problem?

I think what you're talking about is when the download finishes, the file is copied from a temporary directory to the directory where you wanted to save the file. If it's large (say over 10MB) it might slow down your system a little while it finishes copying. As far as I know, that's the way IE works and there's no workaround except for using Netscape.

What is the specs on your hd? Maybe it just writes slow, or it might need to be defragged.
