IE5, right-click save image as question

When I right clicked on an image and selected save as IE5 used to allow me to save images as either bmp or jpg files. Something I installed or removed along the way has removed the jpg funtionality and now I can only save as a bmp file. Does anyone know where that setting is at?

I think this is just a bug in IE. You should be able to save the file as whatever format it is. Sometimes, however, IE forces me to save as bmp even if it's a jpg.

iirc, this can be fixed by clearing your cache (temporary internet files)
tools > options > temporary internet files >delete files
