IE5 problems (yeah, what else is new?)

For some reason, IE5 freezes my system, usually when I'm scrolling, either with pgup/pgdn, or mouse scroll wheel (I don't think up/down causes it, but I rarely use it).
The display freezes, can't move mouse, can't ctrl-alt-del (pressing it once does nothing, pressing it twice causes the red light on my intellimouse optical explorer to go off...oddly enough though, my computer power lights are still on, as is the display). This is the only thing which causes my computer to do it, and I'm about 99% sure that it's the scrolling which causes it. I've scanned the Microsoft KB about it, nothing.
This all started around the time I installed a new video card a few months ago (Diamond Monster Fusion AGP), tried updating my video drivers to the latest version, to no avail. Any ideas?

Th Diamond Monster Fusion drivers with InControl Tools replaced a DLL file that causes the problem. The Microsoft knowledgebase article is Q225040. It explains how to correct the problem.
