IE5 Help !! This is pissing me off

I started to see this weird problem with IE5, that everytime I started download something, IE will automatically close the window that I was on, the web page that links to the download. and it happens almost at every site.. this is so annoying.

any1 know a way to fix this??

I open the download link in a new window. Only happens with IE5.5, right?

did you people use the auto update to get all the patches? IE5.5 works great on my win2000.

yah in 5.5
it even happens when i click on a realaudio link. the browser will just close when realplayer loads up. i want this thing to go away so bad
