IE will only load first page....HELP!!

So on my moms computer, i just ran a bunch of the spyware removing tools and cleaned off a lot of junk. But now, when I use IE, the first website I go to loads just fine, but then after that nothing else will come up. It just goes to that screen that comes up as if my internet weren't working at all.

I tried using LSP-fix and the Winsock fix thing, but it didn't help. Also, I can't get my moms email client (Incredimail) to send or receive her emails, so it may be linked to that.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem? I have no idea how to fix it.
 
it wasn't on offline mode. I think I got it fixed now.

I had disabled something in the startup log, so I rechecked that and now it works. Now I'm just not sure why it would do that.

And another problem was that because the internet wasn't working, I couldn't download HiJackThis. But now that it works, I got it and deleted some Homepage things that might have also contributed to it.
