IE seems to have hijacked Pop-up Blocker

When I visit some websites, my pop-up blocker (The one that comes with IE in XP SP2) seems to get overriden. I'm not talking about the flash pop-ups as thats always been a problem but standard pop-ups appear. When that happens the green icon on the IE taskbar appears saying that i've allowed pop-ups for that particular site even though I didn't specificaly point and click on the icon to let pop-ups appear.

Anyone know of a fix. I've run Spybot with latest updates, done a virus scan and have got the lastest Windows Updates.

OK fair enough. Yes I do already use Firefox for some browsing. I guess I'll have to use it more often.

Give the Google Toolbar a try. It's pretty good with popup issues.

I;'d ech what tomt said and switch to firefox. Best browser ive ever used.
