IE Picture save help??????????

In IE, for some reason, when i right click on an image and then click "save picture as....", it only lets me save it as a bmp file.

it will under no circumstances let me save a jpg file or gif file.

is there any way I can chage this, I want to save an animated gif, but it only lets me download it as a bmp.

hmm..i've encountered this problem myself...
i wonder what causes it? last time this happend was for a jpg file... i check the pic's properties and it was listed as a jpg..yet when I tried to save it..it became untitled.bmp

When I right click on an image in IE, and then select "SAVE PICTURE AS," it will show two format choices depending on the type of image. It will be either BMP and GIF, or BMP and JPG. Animated pics are always BMP and GIF. Photos are always BMP and JPG. The choice is in the small window with the down arrow at the bottom.

that is what i am talking about, i only get the choice of saving it as a bmp

I have that error sometimes too. I have no idea what causes it.

clear your temporary internet files. i dunno why but this works some of the time.
