IE Optimizations screwed up my web surfing

So on some website that I can't find again, I was checking out internet explorer speed enhancements and made several registry changes. All seemed well, but on only SOME websites instead of loading the website it displays the HTML code text. Also, on some pages it just doesn't load; it loads some IE error page.
Unfortunately, right after I made the changes I disabled system restore and cleared my IE cache in order to remove some spyware. Sooooo, no reversal possible!! How can I reinstall IE6 so everything (including registry values) is back to its default?

To those who are going to say this, I have and am trying Firefox; but I use Slimbrowser which has a SUPERB tabbed interface and I don't feel like taking a week to find all the settings & extensions to make Firefox act like Slimbrowser. Sooo, please help!

Thanks in advance

search microsoft for IE and download it and install over the existing IE.

THEN STAY AWAY FROM THOSE SITES WHEN YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING
