IE, open new window question

does anyone know how to set it so when I choose open in new window it would always be max size.

right now it keeps opening a small window. I adjust it to almost max. which is fine but once I close all the windows and start IE again, open in a new window gives me a small window again.

hopefully that wasn't confusing

Yes I know what you're refering to, but I dont know a "good" way around the behavior.

What I would do is:
1.) Open a single instance of IE.
2.) Set it's size to almost the full screen (but do not maximize it).
3.) Close this window (IE will write the new window size and location when you exit).
4.) Open IE and maximize.
5.) Close IE.

If you follow these steps when you first open IE it should be maximized. New windows (like from links you click) will open at the size you used in step 2.

Not really a solution for the behavior, but ensures that new windows arent small or placed in an annoying area.

What is even more annoying is when you minimize and the window just barely minimizes....and you don't notice it when you alt-tab...then close some other window accidentaly when you want to close the minimized window.

I havent seen this application before but might be usefull for some people.

Any idea how well it interacts with IE under XPSP2? I noticed that it's about a year old now so I'm curious how well it works with the changes in IE.

I use it with SP2 and no problems at all.
