Hi,

Does anyone know the latest version of Interent Explorer which will run on Windows 95B.

Any where I could download it.

Thanks.

Im just experimenting seeing if I can run all my stuff under win 95 faster, on a p3 700 its booting in less than 11 seconds !!!! after the bios stuff

And the desktop is usable almost immediatley.

If only XP did that.

My XP does that.

IE6 won't run on Win95 (SP1 and later, not sure about pre-SP1), and the soon-to-be latest (IE7) won't even run on Win2k. Out of luck there, Russell.

Um, whoo? That is of little use when a) you will need to reboot it every day in order to maintain that performance, b) it won't run like that for long once it gets owned through any number of holes that there are no patches for, and c) it doesn't support much of anything in the way of modern hardware and sofware.

XP boots very fast (albeit on faster systems than a p3 700), but boot time is such a useless metric. The only time I ever reboot my boxes is for patches.

I doubt it.

I can't believe that having a faster boot time is worth switching from XP to 95. Perhaps to 2k, but 95? That is painful.
