IE not performing CRC checks?

Hi there,

I am running latest version of IE and many times when I right click a file to download and choose save target as, it downloads the file, but it seems like it does not always work, many times the files are corrupted and unplayable.

This leads me to beleive that either IE, or something else on this computer is not performing a check to make sure every bit was downloaded correctly. Because I can use a download manager, and download the same file and it will work.

Any idea of what is happening?

thanks

I would guess you have a hardware problem. The data could be corrupted anywhere in the download process so the fault could be the NIC, memory, hard disk, cabling, etc. Even power supply problems can cause odd problems like this.
