IE not loading websites and pictures when it used to, please help.

I have internet explorer 6 with all the latest plug-ins like sp1 and the critical updates. I got a incredifind adware on my computer and I went through regedit to eliminate all the keys that belong to incredifind. But now many of the pictures won't load when they used to, and this also includes websites. I already tried restoring default settings and everything in the internet tools section and it still doesn't work. Does anyone know how I can fix this? And its not just IE, mozilla also doesn't show the pictures or link to the websites. What should I do? Thanks.

It sounds like perhaps the Host file is blocking too much. Is it all picttures, or just some?

Yep.. check that. If you are running peerguardian, that could be it too.

What's the host file? How can I check it? Thanks.

Thanks for the tip, it worked. It works fine now, I just swapped the host file out and put in one from my other computer. But one of my favorite websites still gives me a "The page cannot be displayed" error, could be that it is just down.
