I choose View -> StatusBar and it shows up, but the next time a window gets popped up, it's gone again. How can I set this damn browser so that it's visible at all times? I'm using IE6.0.

Thanks,

do the View -> Status Bar and then hit the "x" to close out IE. IE tends to remember the layout of the last IE window that is closed so do this with only one instance of the program running.

go to a flder and configure it to how you like all folders to look like, status bar, details etc... then before closing it out, goto tool, folder options, view tab, and the "Apply to all folders" button should be in the upper portion. hit that and say yes.

works for me every time

I was told its a bug in IE... i asked here a few weeks ago. if you shift-click a link, it remains. if you ctrl+N, or file->new window, it disappears. so just shift-click instead.
