deviantart has been really slow for me the last little while. i figured it was just because they were doing server upgrades. however, today, i was using my friends ie computer, and loaded up devart... it was MUCH faster!! how come? ive come to love mozilla's tabs and tab bookmarks and nicer bookmarking system... but why is it slower? is it slower on all sites? im going to have to try it... when i switched to mozilla, i noticed it was slightly faster than ie. maybe its time to check again?

Firebird has nice features plus I find that for the most part it's faster than IE. Tabbed browsing, ad and popup blocking, not to mention hundreds of extensions and themes.

i've been using firebird for a month or two now and i can say with confidence that ie is definitely faster. mozilla is really slow on certain web pages and it is often slow when another web page is being loaded/displayed

oh yeah. on certain web sites like supernova, mozilla takes 100% cpu usage and freezes for about 10 seconds.

but the extra features and the peace of mind (because ie exploits are discovered all the time) is worth it

I use both Firebird and IE at home. IE owns speedwise for load times and pages with large quantities of graphics (like Fark PS contests for instance) however Firebird is faster for the forums. (although I am using that CSS script which kills the ads and the space on the left)

Yes, it's nice.

I also have it filtering out the "roll eyes" emoticon (hate it).
