IE doesn't remember passwords?

I relay like the IE auto complete feature and the password complete feature. But lately it does not want to remember passwords in places were it did before and have autocomplete entries.
Some simple examples are yahoo and hotmail logins, anandtech, driverheaven and plenty others.

Just to be clear, I am not talking about going to a website and having it automatically be logged in which works fine with anandtech and others.
I am referring to when I need to log in again. I click in the user box and get a list of autocomplete user entries and when I select the right one the password is automatically entered.
This can become very annoying with sites like Anandtech which generate the password which is hard to remember.

In general most old passwords are still remembered but if I change the password or use a new one I don't get the remember password prompt and the password and sometimes even the user name is not remembered.

Thanks

Thanks. That funny, just clicked on the link and the first thing I noticed was :RoboForm is a free password manager" I haven't read though it yet, are there some hidden or spatial fees that I should know about.

Also how the security and integration. I like autofill from the google toolbar but I would like more automatic autocomplete and password entry functions like in IE. Also can it access the old IE passwords, as entering all the passwords that still do work would be a pain.

Sorry for asking all these questions. I will try it and see how it goes.

Thanks again.

I don't think it will read your saved IE passwords. It pops up a window whenever you fill in a form and submit it and asks for a title for the passcard. very handy. I think you can run it of a usb drive too. I think it's just $20 if I remember correctly (got it a while back) for unlimited use.

I just installed it and it is similar to the google bar but with more features. Maybe I will grow to like it but at this point it not automated enough and cannot integrate into IE as nicely as I want it. And I need to create all the passwords as it cannot read the IE passwords.

I would much rather get IE back to normal. There is an option "never ask to remember password", anybody know where I can configure it or some other options to always ask to remember passwords?

reset all your settings. IE remembers passwords, but you prolly got the popup that asked you and clicked 'no' without realizing it. try FireFox instead of IE anyway.

even with the remember passwords prompt enabled, IE doesn't ALWAYS ask for it to remember. I don't think there's a setting for that. but if you did disable it it's in Internet Options -> Content Tab -> AutoComplete

My AutoComplete is enabled but some things just don't register for some reason. For instance I often search for "SBC DSL speed test" in msn and google but it is never remembered but sbc or speed test is remembered if entered on its own. I tried this search on several systems at home and work and none remembered it but had no problems with various and longer entries.
