IE and OE major problems :(

hey guys, ive just finished a clean install of win2k with SP2 slipstreamed (it worked, yay!) but ever since i reinstalled 2k IE has been really unstable (moreso than the beta of IE6 i had been using on the old install) and Outlook Express now wont save any of my passwords for my email or newsgroup accounts.

If anyone has any ideas how to fix these problems or has similar problems pplease help, its driving my up the wall!!!
