IE 6 SP1

The IE SP1 is separate from WinXP SP1, and must be installed separately.
I am not sure that it is so.

Open your IE pull down the Help/About.

The fourth line should say: Update Versions:; SP1;

If it does not you have to update.

Oooops! :Q I guess I should download the thing before commenting on it; I just guessed based on the fact that a separate entry appeared for each of them on the Windows Update site. 😱

okay. I tried to update my ie6 after installing SP1. The update program downloaded 0.8mb thing from the server and install it. erm 0.8mb ??

I installed XP SP1, and then in IE6, hit Help, about, and it showed that IE6 SP1 was installed. No further action required.
