I'm wondering if anyone ran across a problem like this. One of my clients has a web site where their primary business is selling flash content. The flash movie checks for a cookie to see if the user is logged in and plays the movie.
On some of my Windows 98 systems running IE 6 SP1 with the security patch installed, I get the "cookies disabled" error whenever I try to run a movie. The movies work just fine on other W98 or W2K systems running IE6 SP1 identically installed and configured. Cookies are enabled (lowest security set).
The movies run fine on this system via Netscape 7.
I've already de-installed and re-installed IE 6 SP1, but still get the cookie issue. I don't understand why the movies work on some of my W98 systems and not others when they are running the same software (the hardware is different).
Any ideas or things I might try? Why are *some* installations of Windows 98 with IE6sp1 being cranky?
Thanks in advance,
Daniel
