IE 6 Slows Machine - HELP!

I was noticing that my screen redraw rate was much slower after closing an IE6 session. Windows that closed instantly "step" closed after using IE6. A reboot solves the problem, but what is going on? I'm using the ASUS 12.90 GeForce driver set, and ASUS's tweak utility. It almost looks like the GPU clock rate gets dumped down.

Anybody got an idea why this is happening, and how to solve it?
 
Maybe if you go to Task Manager, you can see if anything's taking up a lot of resources unexpectedly. Sometimes IE will stay resident after closing it down (rare). Or another problem loaded when you go online could be causing the problem.
