IE 6 question on page cannot be displayed.

Say for example, I type http://www.yahoo.com, the page loads. I do a regular search and the page returns the results.

On that page result, I do another search. Once I hit enter, I get a page cannot be displayed. There seems to be some kind of redirecting on the link part.
Taken from the link, "http://rd.yahoo.com/search/searchbox/top/a/*-http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=anandtech"

I would have to remove the part of the link for it to work. Which was from the beginning of line till the '-' character.
Any idea on how to make this work without having to delete part of the link?

I hope I am clear enough.

-thanks-

i have the same problem....

i also have a problem when using the yahoo links. say i check my email and i want to go back to the yahoo homepage... if i click the yahoo link in the upper right corner, i get a "page cannot be displayed". i tried the same thing in mozilla and mozilla is telling me that "the connection to rd.yaho.com was refused". the reason i mentioned all of this is because mozilla says the same thing when trying what you're explaining.

what the hell is the problem with this? i just reformatted and reinstalled earlier this week, and all was working fine. the only thing i did recently was configure my router. if i bypass the router i get the same problem tho... is it maybe the ie6 service pack??

i figured it out... have you installed kazaa lite?? i looked at the "hosts" file that is part of the installation and it listed some stuff that looked like the cause of my problem. i removed all of the kazaa related material and only kept the local host part. poof! it now works... i'm not sure how this effects kazaa tho. i still haven't tried using it since.
