I've been running IE6 on WinXP with no major hitches for the past 3 months or so, so it surprised me when all of a sudden I experienced this problem.
Since yesterday, whenever i click on a link to a popup javascript box, I get the popup I should be seeing with the right dimensions - but I don't see a page loading in the window. I've tried many different sites but it just doesn't work.
And also, coincidentially, since yesterday, I'm having another problem - this time related with Access 2002. Apparently, Access 2002 has this feature that checks a file using IE's Internet Security Zone Manager before opening it. I've been getting this error whenever I try opening a database:
"The Internet Security Zone Manager is missing or not correctly installed and therefore the safety of this file cannot be verified. To address this problem, reinstall Microsoft Internet Explorer or the appropriate Office Systems pack"
I reinstsalled OfficeXP from scratch - to no avail. I can't offer any explanation other than that my IE installation is severely crippled. I tried reinstalling IE6 but WinXP doesn't seem to give me that option. Suggestions, anyone? This is downright frustrating.
