IE 6.0 picture question, bmp's instead of jpegs?

I just noticed this today, whenever I right-click on a picture (any picture in jpeg format) and click "save picture as" it brings up the save box with .bmp as my only choice of extension. This must have just occured because the picture I got from ATOT last night saved as a jpeg, but when I try to save it off the web today it will only save as a .bmp. is there someway to change this? thanks for the help

nevermind, I emptied my history folder and the problem went away
