IE 5.5SP1 - Maximizing All Windows

Hi,

The system runs Win2k Pro and IE 5.5. Both are the latest SP.

When I first open IE, it maximizes the first window. However, when I press "Ctrl+N" IE opens a new window, but does not maximizes it. I want IE to maximize all windows all the time. Is there a way to make that happen? Thanks.

Someone replied to this post on Ars Openforum. The person posted a link to Microsoft's website. The site said it is not possible to open new windows with the same size as the parent window.

I think that is extrememly limiting in IE. I am considering going to Netscape 6.01. I want to see MS add this feature, which should they should have implemented a long time ago.

Man, I thought I was the only one being annoyed by that.. and I don't know if it's the same way for everyone but my spawned windows aren't actually any small but you can see the windows outline which is just enough to annoy me.. 😛

I just change over from netscape and this was one of my main gripes. Here is how to kinda fix it. Shift click a link or rt click and open new. Once it opens use the mouse to slide the new window to the full size. Then close it and try it again. Sometimes this works, keep trying different ways. It will finally remember it. Remember this is a Microsoft program, nothing is easy.
