IE 5.5

I was bored, so I decided to give it a try in Win2k. It's not as slow for me as it was in 98, but for some reason whenever I'm at the top of a page, its extremely slow scrolling down the page, but once I get further down it scrolls fine. When i go back to the top it is slow again. Anyone else get this?

BTW
Athlon 700@700

That's just IE 5.5 for ya. I got the same crap. I'm surprised you did, though, your system is a killer in comparison to mine.

There is definitely something wrong when a web browser is lagging on a 700MHz Athlon.

Which version number?
Try turning off or on smooth scrolling in Tools/Options?
I don't get that slowdown but I do get a mshtml.dll error that requires an IE restart. Was bad in 5.5 and after going back to 5.0 it's "only" once a day now. 😛

I turned off smooth scrolling and that helped, but now my scrolling is all not smooth 😛

Oh well, I guess I'll go back to 5

yep i had exactly the same problem, uninstalled IE5.5 straight afterwards
